Air Diffusion Systems (ADS) fine bubble aeration has been installed at thousands of locations worldwide to promote natural and biological treatment of water and wastewater.
Bubbling from the bottom up, ADS diffusers recreate a river-like environment in bodies of water that lack oxygenation and mixing. As the bubbles slowly rise to the surface, they settle out pollution and contaminants, sequestering them to the bottom of the water column. By increasing the “bottom dissolved oxygen”, beneficial bacteria and higher life forms consume organics and nutrients, purifying the aquatic eco-system naturally.
The solution to water and wastewater pollution is Air Diffusion! Our expert engineers work alongside our prospective clients to understand their unique application and desired treatment objectives.
In 1958 Nelson Hinde invented the first subsurface fine-bubble aeration diffuser in the basement of his Highland Park, IL home. Since inception, many improvements have been made to the ADS fine bubble diffuser to maximize efficiency & longevity while making it easy to install and maintain. If you are looking for a high quality diffuser, the search is over!
The ADS disk module diffuser is comprised of 100’ of our linear fine bubble aeration wrapped inside of a 4’ diameter stainless steel frame. 1 foot long SS legs keep the disk module suspended out of sludge and sediments. A floating buoy attaches to the center of the disk module for ease of installation and maintenance. The highest quality materials are used to ensure a life expectancy of 20+ years.
A recommended airflow rate of 8-10 SCFM per disk will mix 25.8 million gallons of water in 15’ of water or deeper. At 1 horsepower per disk module, this is the most effective and efficient mixing device commercially available.
